My createInstance method looks something like this. Should I write anything else in it? @Override public java.lang.AutoCloseable createInstance() { // TODO:implement throw new java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException(); }

I am trying to develope a simple karaf feature using the information given in this page ( https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylightController:MD-SAL:StartupProject_Archetype).

Everything is okay with BUILD SUCCESS. But when I run the controller and try to invoke the HELLO WORLD RPC from the POSTMAN Client. I get the error in json format as:

{ "error": "Authentication service unavailable" }

Can anybody tell me what can I do to resolve this problem?

@subhash Helium Karaf Release.

2015-07-01 01:33:44 -0700 asked a question What does pre-karaf helium version mean?

I am trying to develop the toaster plugin on ODL. Beginner to say. I am using the instructions from this page https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylightController:MD-SAL:ToasterStep-By-Step.

There it says in the top, "This was last updated for the Helium pre-Karaf release and needs to be updated. Please bear that in mind when reading the content and feel free to help update it."

I am using Karaf Helium Opendaylight I guess as I use ./karaf to run the controller.

So am I cool to go ahead or should I avoid using the above article on toaster plugin development?

Hi Subhash, I am getting this error. { "errors": { "error": [ { "error-type": "rpc", "error-tag": "operation-not-supported", "error-message": "No implementation for this operation is available." } ] } }

2015-06-30 21:48:35 -0700 asked a question Failing to develop ping plugin on Helium

I am going about as a beginner to develop a ping application on Opendaylight Helium version using the git repository code from https://github.com/dl9pf/odl-ping . But I am not able to get the desired output from the restconf service using the URL http://localhost:8181/restconf/operations/ping:send-echo from POSTMAN. I am sending a JSON along with the POST request as following: { "input" : { "destination" : "10.200.8.50" } }

Can anybody tell me where I might be going wrong?

Sorry for my halfazard explanation of my problem. Please ask me if any other explanation of my steps that you might need to figure out my problem.
