2015-10-17 07:01:44 -0700 marked best answer Feature not found : odl-snmp4sdn-all

I have cloned the controller code from controller.git and built it successfully. I run the controller by ./bin/karaf in "/controller/opendaylight/distribution/opendaylight-karaf/target/assembly". In karaf prompt when I tried to install odl-l2switch-switch, odl-snmp4sdn-all, odl-dlux-all features, it says feature not found in version 0.0.0. I want to use snmp4sdn plugin. I could do it from pre-built image but not from code. Am I missing something? Please help me.

2014-12-19 00:02:07 -0700 commented question jars not found in my ping application !!

Before this I didn't mention my dependency in any pom file but copied the jars to depoly. After running the controller and calling the restconf api i got rpc error saying "No implementation for this operation is available". What does this mean? It couldn't find jars of my implementation right?

2014-12-18 23:58:14 -0700 asked a question jars not found in my ping application !!

I wrote the ping application as per the link https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Ping . But I am using karaf distribution from controller.git. After building the model and sample I placed both the jars in distribution/opendaylight-karaf/target/assembly/deploy folder as told. I mentioned them as dependency in features/md-sal/samples/pom.xml and distribution/opendaylight-karaf/pom.xml. After this I do mvn clean install from root dir and i got this error

[INFO] Scanning for projects... [ERROR] The build could not read 2 projects -> [Help 1] [ERROR]
[ERROR] The project org.opendaylight.controller:distribution.opendaylight-karaf:1.5.0-SNAPSHOT (/home/odl/odl/code/controller/opendaylight/distribution/opendaylight-karaf/pom.xml) has 2 errors [ERROR] 'dependencies.dependency.version' for org.opendaylight.controller.model:model-ping:jar is missing. @ line 117, column 17 [ERROR] 'dependencies.dependency.version' for org.opendaylight.controller.samples:sample-ping-provider:jar is missing. @ line 121, column 17 [ERROR]

Where I have to provide my jars so that karaf distribution controller can pick it up?

2014-12-14 20:58:26 -0700 asked a question How Topology Data flow from NB to SB through mdsal?

I need to understand how data flows from NB to SB when a Resconf is called to get topology related information. I believe it is similar for all other managers like FRM, Switch Manager etc,. I was trying to understand this through code walk-through but this introduction of Yang model is making me crazy. Can anyone please demystify this puzzle? Thanks a lot in advance.

2014-12-05 00:55:09 -0700 edited question Error in connecting switch with heium-sr1 through snmp4sdn

When I tried to connect my snmpv2 switch it is throwing response timout error. In SNMPhandler certain OID MIBs are harcoded. and those OID MIBs are not in my switch.I am running the Helium-SR1 controller. I followed the user guide properly. I have following questions,

  1. After configuring controller ip in my switch do I have to reboot my switch?
  2. What version of snmp is supported by latest snmp4sdn plugin?
  3. What are the prerequisites for my switch to communicate with helium?

Please help me get through this.

For osgi, I built snmp4sdn and copied the jar into plugins folder. Similarly where to copy the modified snmp4sdn jar in karaf? I followed the link https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/SNMP4SDN:Installation_Guide . But I couldn't get this clearly. Can anyone help me understand?

2014-12-03 22:45:48 -0700 commented answer Where to copy jar in karaf distribution

Dana, One last question! I downloaded the latest distribution in which snmp4sdn is of version 0.1.5. I modified the snmp4sdn plugin of version 0.2.0. I moved the 0.2.0-SNAPSHOT.jar into 0.1.5-SNAPSHOT folder of distribution. So finally I am having 0.1.5-SNAPSHOT.jar & 0.1.5-SNAPSHOT.pom & and some other files in my distribution's folder. I mean the jar has to copied and renamed to the version of distribution. Am I right?
