2015-05-21 11:09:35 -0800 answered a question adding a flow using C++

Have you verified with both config and operational datastore. If it is present in config and not in operational datastore, then the problem is not with your C++ code.

2015-05-13 08:23:45 -0800 answered a question How to return list value in Yang?

You need to specify the output data type as a list:

 rpc  getList{
   output{
      list nodeList{
         leaf id{ type uint32; }
         leaf name{ type string; }
         leaf SETTIME { type string; }
       }
   }
 }

2015-04-25 18:49:19 -0800 asked a question Error in starting ODL Helium (osgi.wiring.package=sun.misc)

I am getting this error occasionally. As this is not consistent, it hampers the development work. Does anybody knows what this below error is about and how to rectify this?

opendaylight-user@root>feature:install odl-restconf Error executing command: Could not start bundle mvn:com.lmax/disruptor/3.3.0 in feature(s) odl-mdsal-broker-local-1.2.0-SNAPSHOT: Unresolved constraint in bundle com.lmax.disruptor [152]: Unable to resolve 152.0: missing requirement [152.0] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=sun.misc)

I get this error when i try to install any feature or bundle.

Thanks

2015-04-25 18:21:24 -0800 answered a question Does integration contain openflowplugin

The integration project doesn't have src code for other projects. You need to pull open flow plugin project and make your modification.

About the web UI, the link is: <controllerip>/index.html , not /dlux/index.html</controllerip>

2015-04-23 05:54:17 -0800 asked a question MD-SAL api for topology management ????

Can we add or delete node using MD-SAL api instead of using CURL/REST. I want the same behaviour as the REST api of OVSDB but using MD-SAL Apis. What MD-SAL Apis can be used for topology management?

It is good that you are able to start with the ODL. Here are some tips you can use during "mvn install" -DskipTests=true : skip test cases -Dcheckstyle.skip=true : skip check style checking during compilation -nsu : skip updating snapshots

Controller will send LLDP packets to discover the topology. You can use any network monitoring tool to capture the packets and verify them.

2015-04-15 07:24:21 -0800 answered a question Initial build of the OpenDaylight code

The directory structure in master branch is changed. There is no distribution folder now. Run "mvn clean install" in "controller" folder as there is a pom.xml file available there. You can run ODL from "controller/karaf/opendaylight-karaf" folder.

2015-04-07 06:33:35 -0800 commented answer cant see "distribution" dir under "opendaylight"

The directory structure is changed little bit: >> controller/karaf/opendaylight-karaf You don't need to look for distribution folder now. The folder name is "karaf" now. Try giving "mvn clean install" inside the opendaylight-karaf folder.

2015-04-06 13:22:53 -0800 answered a question i want to modify l2switch module of controller .How to compile the modified code

When you are modifying the existing ODL modules, compilation is straight forward. Just give compilation inside the module folder. At anytime you can compile the controller code with "nsu" flag so that it will compile in offline mode.

Hi, The Distribution folder is present inside "opendaylight" folder.

"controller/opendaylight/distribution"

What error you are getting while doing "mvn install" . You can give a "git pull" command and try again.

2015-03-31 05:52:21 -0800 answered a question How to access Topology/node details from MD-SAL in App

Thanks @Ashwini_Mhatre
I am aware of the RestAPIs. I am more interested in programming level. Inside a user developed module, how to access the Nodes/topology/links. It is better to use the DataBroker or DataProviderService? Or is it good to use ITopologyManager ? Any example or existing module which has similar functionality to understand it better?
