2016-06-21 15:51:31 -0700 answered a question Setting up NETCONF for Cisco switch

I have performed some test against a NX-OS 7.3 : When I try to perform a get-config from ODL, I get a "Wrong document: namespaces not specified" error on the rpc element .

When looking at Cisco examples, in addition to the xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:netconf:base:1.0" namespace, they always add another namespace : xmlns:nc="http://www.cisco.com/nxos:1.0:nfcli" ; even if is not used in the xml sent...

When I do this manually (manuel netconf session on the device) : it works...

So, my question is : is it possible to add customed namespace to xml sent to devices ? If yes, how ?

Thanks in advance for any answer, Htam.

2016-06-16 17:34:20 -0700 asked a question How to convert XSD to YANG Model

Hi,

With the Cisco Nexus Switches (like the 7k), the XSD files are provided. Since these switchs don't support ietf-netconf-monitoring, how do you convert these XSD files to YANG Models, so that ODL can levarage the right capabilities ?

Thank you in advance for any answer, Sincerely yours, Htam.
