Topology Manager and Inventory Manager

Hi all,

The topology manager and inventory manager in MD-SAL would update a node or a link, when there comes a notification. However, I find that the topology manager and inventory manager do nothing except store the node into the data store. The node, flow or link, etc, will be converted to AD type through Sal-Compatibility. And finally, everything will be handled by other managers like AD topology Manager, AD inventory manager, etc.

My question is what's the functionality of topology manager and inventory manager in MD-Sal? If AD-SAL takes over everything through the sal-compability, why we need MD topology manager and MD inventory manager?

Or is there any mistakes in my understanding?
