L2 switch XML configuration change

Hi

I was trying to change default XML configuration file for l2switch by changing 58-l2switchmain.xml to test some proactive and reactive flows. Although I was able to make those changes successfully, I am still having doubts about the procedure I am following.

Steps Followed.

  1. I changed my xml file through vi editor.
  2. I saved it. 3. I had to restart the controller to see those changes.
  3. I did my testing with the flows.

I did not want to perform step 3 to make those changes effective for testing. Is there any other way or suggestion to do this.

Thanks

Ankit
