I've installed the Helium release with following features "feature:install odl-restconf odl-l2switch-switch odl-mdsal-apidocs odl-dlux-core odl-l2switch-switch-ui "

Dlux GUI doesn't shown the flow features and how to do the static flow from opendaylight GUI?

You are asking two questions: How do I get the Nodes, Connection Manager, Flows, and Network modules to appear on DLUX? How do I establish static flows with DLUX?

Someone helped me with this earlier. You need to install a couple features that have to do with AD-SAL, which handles flows (as far as I understand). Install the following: odl-nsf-all and odl-adsal-compatibility.

After this I was able to see the Flow menu in the GUI. However, the Nodes do not show in this menu in order to assign static flows. I believe the issue may be as follows from the wiki...

Note: The AD-SAL section of the DLUX UI will not be visible without also installing odl-adsal-all and odl-adsal-northbound. However, this currently seems to break DLUX (404s). The issue is apparently related to odl-l2switch-switch and odl-adsal-northbound both enabling their own host tracker bundles.

I would be interested if you have the same issue.

I can confirm this Problem! I'm also not able to set flows in the dlux Gui, because no nodes are shown in the pulldown menu to which a Flow can be assigend. As a work around I use the REST API to set my flows. There is a good HowTo to set Flows via REST: https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylight_OpenFlow_Plugin:End_to_End_Flows Here are also some more example Flows: https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Editing_OpenDaylight_OpenFlow_Plugin:End_to_End_Flows:Example_Flows#Output_to_Physical_Port_.23 This might not solve the Problem exactly, but could be another way to set static flows. However I'm also interested in a solution to set Flows via Gui.

Installing odl-nsf-all and odl-adsal-compatibility does not fix either of the two questions asked, at least now on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS using ODL Helium1 or Helium2.

You are asking two questions:

  • How do I get the Nodes, Connection Manager, Flows, and Network modules to appear on DLUX?
  • How do I establish static flows with DLUX?

You get Nodes, Connection Manager, Flows, and Network modules to appear on DLUX by installing the odl-adsal-all and odl-adsal-northbound features.

I am running Helium2 on Ubuntu 14.04 with an OpenWRT router (TP-Link 1043ND V2). I was having very similar problems. I read the same wiki note wahabeck references (the note comes from OpenDaylight DLUX:DLUX Karaf Feature) and was reluctant to load odl-adsal-all and odl-adsal-northbound. I gave up, gave it a try, and it worked. I believe the following feature load works and allows you to see the expected list of DLUX modules: - odl-l2switch-switch-ui

  • openflowplugin-flow-services-ui
  • odl-ttp-all
  • odl-restconf
  • odl-l2switch-switch
  • odl-mdsal-apidocs
  • odl-dlux-core
  • odl-adsal-all
  • odl-adsal-northbound

Note that odl-adsal-all does not also include odl-adsal-northbound, it has to be installed separately. The Nodes, Connection Manager, Flows, and Network modules will not appear until you install odl-adsal-northbound.

The modules, however, will be empty until you have a host or router connected to the controller. When openflow establishes it's session, the information for the node should auto populate into the modules.

Unfortunately, right now you cannot do static flows through DLUX. Details: https://ask.opendaylight.org/question/2586/add-flows-from-odl-gui/?answer=2625#post-id-2625
