Hi everyone! I have several doubst about ODL LIthium integration with Openstack Kilo and i hope you guys can help me to solve them, I have an eviorment with two openstack kilo nodes in kvm virtual machines

  • One Controller+network+compute node
  • One compte (only) node

And I also have an Opendaylight controller node in kvm virtual machine.

The integration between ODL and Openstack seems to be fine, but at the moment of launching instances I've faced several issues: when I launch an instance on the controller node everything is ok, but if I do on the compute node the console doesn't give me any ip on the eth0 interface, and when I do tcpdump to the tap interface of the compute instance only show the dchp request, but the request doesn't have response.

Due to this, I have several questions about the integration:

  • Do I need to install the ml2 pluging on the compute node?
  • Do I need to configure the file in /etc/neutron/plugins/ml2/ml2_conf.ini in the compute node (right now it isn't that file)?
  • Do I need to install the network node also in the compute node? I ask this because i don't see any namespace in the compte node and in the controller node only shows one qrouter

If it is needed more information please just ask for it Thanks all of you

P.S: I've deployed Openstcak Kilo with packstack and all the networks I've created in the enviorment are vxlan

ok, I've fixed the issues by myself, it wast that i didn't set up the local_ip rigth when I typed the ovs-vsctl set Open_vSwitch <ovs_uuid> other_config:local_ip=<ip_control/compte>, I was setting the same ip in both nodes and it has to be the ip of each node.
