To answer this question, there are 3 ways you can "add a node":

  1. This method will set the manager for the OpenVSwitch instance, meaning it will trigger an "OVSDB node" in Opendaylight. Input the following in the Mininet VM:

    sudo ovs-vsctl set-manager tcp:ODLIP:6640

  2. Add an OVSDB node by doing 2 operations:

    a. Set the manager in OpenVSwitch: sudo ovs-vsctl set-manager ptcp:6640

    b. Create a node using this postman collection: The requestion name is: "Create Specific Config OvsdbNode"

  3. Add an OpenFlow controller by doing 2 operations:

    a. sudo ovs-vsctl add-br br0

    b. sudo ovs-vsctl set-controller br0 tcp:ODLIP:6633
