You do have integration project, right? Go to integration project directory and then follow this path /integration/distributions/karaf/target/assembly/data/log Log files should be named something like karaf.log

No i dont have Integration.I am using Stable helium Controller.I use run.sh to start ODL from this path --> /controller-stable-helium/opendaylight/distribution/opendaylight/target/distribution.opendaylight-osgipackage/opendaylight/run.sh

I'm not sure about stable/helium, I used it a while ago so don't remember exactly. However, here's a thing you can try; make some changes to the code and see if those are reflected in opendaylight.log And do you have any specific reasons to use to stable/helium? Why not a more recent release?

You are looking for 'log', so I am assuming you know where is bin/karaf to start your ODL controller. Then log (karaf.log) will be at following path:

bin/
  - karaf
data/
  - log/
      - karaf.log

I looked at master, helium, lithium installation, and found above is true, so I am assuming rest all (Berilium, integration etc) will also follow the trend. :)

Hi Mandeep.yes you are right.But Its for Integration version.I am using stable-helium controller version.in this path --> /controller-stable-helium/opendaylight/distribution/opendaylight/target/distribution.opendaylight-osgipackage/opendaylight/run.sh where i am running ODL.(not ./karaf)

karthik330, I think if you are using run.sh, that means you are using hydrogen, not helium or lithium.

cat /home/labry/odl_src/controller/karaf/opendaylight-karaf/target/assembly/data/log/karaf.log

Will do the trick. :-D Of course, you have to change "/home/labry/odl_src/" part to direct to your controller directory.

Long time i have posted any comment :)

@karthik330- the file you are looking for is at : /controller-stable-helium/opendaylight/distribution/opendaylight/target/distribution.opendaylight-osgipackage/opendaylight/logs and opendaylight.log

Point to note that you can change log levels too to get different logs prints from controller or if any logger you have written and build the code.

And Yes, stable helium branch still provides run.sh option as you are already trying it. I think in Lithium version they have removed it completely and only karaf based is available.

Regards,

Faizan
