After integrating OpenDaylight (Helium-SR3) to OpenStack (Kilo),will the vm instances created in OpenStack be displayed in OpenDaylight topology? Is there a sample image where hosts can be seen in OpenDaylight (dlux) topology? Please help.

I could not confirm if i have successfully integrated OpenDaylight to OpenStack? Are there limitations to the integration? I could not see any hosts in opendaylight topology. i could ping vm instances in the same network with each other. but could not ping vm instances in different networks of the same router (and different networks in different router).

Do VMs automatically get the ip address from DHCP or you manually assign them?

they automatically get the ip address from dhcp.

Hey I had this query https://ask.opendaylight.org/question/5384/flows-from-ovs-bridges-gets-deleted-after-integration-of-openstack-with-opendaylight/ Did you also faced this issue. If yes can you help me out here? I am using stable kilo and ODL helium SR3.

<@90.suman">p>@90.suman hello there, when you say "table", are referring to the tables found in dlux? i haven't notice that and haven't tried to checked that flows and its relationship with the ports (or vm instances). I am still not sure if a have successfully integrated opendaylight with openstack. However, i have encountered issues where my vm instances does not have ip addresses but i dont know how it was fixed. when i tried to create instances again, it already got ip addresses from dhcp.

No , I meant flows on OVS. Output of command "ovs-ofctl dump-flows br-int -O Openflow13" gives me http://pastie.org/10424983 . As you can see in table=0 action is goto table20, which is missing. Can you share your flows on br-int.?

yes, i also think that ODL shows the br-int (3 br-ints - 1 for controller node and 2 for computes nodes which i think is openflow switches. am i right? please correct me if im wrong.) and ports associated with each vm (as shown in nodes tab). But i am wondering if vm instances(created in openstack) will be shown as hosts in ODL topology.
