Wireshark plugin for the openflow 1.3

asked 2014-08-21 11:04:26 -0700

I tried to install the wirehsark plugin for the openflow 1.3 on my ubuntu 12.10 box by following various blogs but I am not able to configure the plugin correctly.

Please could someone point out any good tutorial for the painless installation of wireshark plugin for the openflow v1.3.

Hi Subhash,

With the new Wireshark 1.11 + that has native OF parsing support (No need to mannually set the plugin!). If you upgrade your wireshark to latest version you don't need to manually set the plugin! it already got the native OF parsing support. To Display Filter in latest wireshark: A complete list of OpenFlow display filter fields can be found in the display filter reference or listed with the following command:

tshark -G fields | grep -i openflow

Show only the OpenFlow based traffic: Seems the filter keyword is now changed!!!
