I installed Lithium-SR1 for evaluation and run command as follows:

feature:install odl-base-all odl-aaa-authn odl-restconf odl-nsf-all odl-adsal-northbound odl-ovsdb-openstack odl-ovsdb-northbound odl-dlux-core

However, when I open 'http://ip:8181/index.html and input the login name and password (the default admin/admin), it says 'Unable to login'.

The karaf log is as follows:

2015-09-05 10:08:10,657 | ERROR | pool-7-thread-2 | WebAppPublisher | 173 - org.ops4j.pax.web.pax-web-extender-war - 3.1.4 | Error deploying web application java.lang.IllegalStateException: No LoginService for org.eclipse.jetty.security.authentication.BasicAuthenticator@5d4c25f7 in org.eclipse.jetty.security.ConstraintSecurityHandler@3250aafb at org.eclipse.jetty.security.authentication.LoginAuthenticator.setConfiguration(LoginAuthenticator.java:61)[71:org.eclipse.jetty.aggregate.jetty-all-server:8.1.15.v20140411] at org.eclipse.jetty.security.SecurityHandler.doStart(SecurityHandler.java:377)[71:org.eclipse.jetty.aggregate.jetty-all-server:8.1.15.v20140411] at org.eclipse.jetty.security.ConstraintSecurityHandler.doStart(ConstraintSecurityHandler.java:453)[71:org.eclipse.jetty.aggregate.jetty-all-server:8.1.15.v20140411]

I'd appreciate any hints on solving this problem. Thanks a lot.

This is a widely seen problem with restconf and dlux. Most of people were able to solve this by reinstalling all features in a specific sequence.

Try uninstall all features (bin/karaf clean), then install in following sequence:

feature:install odl-restconf-all odl-mdsal-apidocs odl-dlux-all

Post that you can install other features you want.

How to uninstall all features? :-)

Run karaf with 'clean' as parameter. I.e. `./bin/karaf clean`

Still have problem. When I input admin/admin credential in dlux login page, it pops up a login window again, saying: Authentication: Server http://ip:8181/index.html requires username and password. Server hint: opendaylight... (I'm doing translation to English. :-) I then input admin/admin again, unfortunately, it says 'Unable to Login'.

You also have to wait a bit, in my case i almost have to wait 10 mins before i can login. In my case i have installed odl-dlux-all and then the restconf-all. Maybe that can help

I was not getting any menu. After this the problem was solved (1- clean 2- install features like told). Thanks
