Hi , I am trying to install VTN coordinator on Ubuntu 14.04 VM with Lithium distribution release as per this link. But I am hitting ERROR: PostgreSQL ODBC driver was not found while doing db setup. Am I missing anything ?

I have installed odbc-postgresql and have followed all the steps.

I ran into the same issue and I believe the documentaion is in error. Ubuntu 14.04 is a supported platform for ODL/VTN Manager but there are restrictions for VTN Coordinator. According to a previous post [see here] ( ), it is a limitation with Jenkins.

I tried for ages to get the Coordinator working on Ubuntu 14.04 but could not due to the same issue. I installed it on CentOS 7 instead and it was fine. I ran into a few issues concerning ODBC Driver on CentOS as well, but it was easy enough to find solutions through Google.

Whatever platform you use don't forget to also install OVS on the Coordiantor as well!

I just noticed they have update the installation from source Wiki to Lithium - - so this is also a good option.

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply. I found work around for this issue. Lithium distribution version doesn't seem to work if we directly it from precompiled files. I built the vtn cordinator from src. That looks to work fine and I was able to create vBridges and vRouters as well.

I totally accept that there are some documentation issues. To put it in straight terms don't run VTN cordinator from pre-compiled Lithium distribution. Build it fresh on your own system (VM/native Ubuntu). You will not see this issue.

Thanks & Regards, Krishna Sharma
