what is the difference between the controller version of the ODL software and the integration version of ODL software?

  1. when to use controller version of ODL software?
  2. when to use the integration version ?
  3. Can we add the new features to the controller version software like we do with the integration software?

Thanks bala

the controller project is one of the more core projects in OpenDaylight. This diagram can help visualize the different projects and their dependecies. You can read up on the controller project here. The controller project gives us things like MD-SAL, clustering...

The integration project will build all projects in OpenDaylight in to a single distribution. So, when you start karaf from the integration build, you can then install and use things like openflow, ovsdb, sfc, vtn, etc If you are a "user", you can just build the integration distribution and go from there.

I think that covers your questions, but let me know if not.
