I was following along the wiki for installation. (https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/InstallOnUbuntu_14.04)

I am unable to continue with next step which requires me to run "./karaf -of13" from directory mentioned in title because it does not exist.

I only see following files from karaf/target directory.

(venv)parallels@ubuntu:~/git/integration/distributions/karaf/target$ ls
checkstyle-cachefile checkstyle-checker.xml checkstyle-header.txt checkstyle-result.xml

I don't seem to see any particular error message from the logs from previous commands.

Not particular answer to the question - updating folks, I actually tried same steps again on another VM with Ubuntu 14.04 (fresh) (running off VMWare Fusion) which worked. Going to give another try on this particular Ubuntu VM after refreshing (running off Parallels 10)
