I am trying to develope a simple karaf feature using the information given in this page ( https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylightController:MD-SAL:StartupProject_Archetype).

Everything is okay with BUILD SUCCESS. But when I run the controller and try to invoke the HELLO WORLD RPC from the POSTMAN Client. I get the error in json format as:

{ "error": "Authentication service unavailable" }

Can anybody tell me what can I do to resolve this problem?

Hello,

Please make sure you have implemented the createInstance() because by default it throws an exception. Here are some example that will hopefully get you unstuck:

Example 1:

https://github.com/sniggel/odl-mdsal-cup-example/blob/master/cup-provider/src/main/java/org/opendaylight/controller/config/yang/config/cup_provider/impl/CupProviderModule.java#L34

Example2

https://github.com/opendaylight/coretutorials/blob/master/toaster/ch7-ToasterJMX/toaster-impl/src/main/java/org/opendaylight/yang/gen/v1/urn/opendaylight/params/xml/ns/yang/toaster/impl/config/rev141210/ToasterImplModule.java#L26

Example3

https://github.com/opendaylight/coretutorials/blob/master/hello/hello-impl/src/main/java/org/opendaylight/yang/gen/v1/urn/opendaylight/params/xml/ns/yang/hello/impl/rev141210/HelloImplModule.java#L27

Cheers

I waited for half hour to let the controller to run. I found the following error. 2015-07-15 10:51:28,030 | ERROR | qtp145113606-57 | ContainerResponse | 207 - com.sun.jersey.jersey-server - 1.17.0 | Mapped exception to response: 503 (Service Unavailable) javax.ws.rs.WebApplicationException

Did you implement the getInstance() function ? By default, I think it throws an exception.

No I didn't implement getInstance() function anywhere. How should I do it and where?
