how to get a device with netconf get recognized on ODL?

So I did start off as per tutorials and installed ODL along with mininet ... Now I would like one of our layer 2 device, which is capable of netconf, to be recognized by ODL ... can someone please guide me as to where to start .... Much appreciated

This is done via configuration, so right now it involves some XML editing. The process is documented over here: https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylight_Controller:Config:Examples:Netconf

The distribution carries a configuration/initial/01-netconf-connector.xml which should get you started easily -- note the 'Loopback connection' entry.
