I am going about as a beginner to develop a ping application on Opendaylight Helium version using the git repository code from https://github.com/dl9pf/odl-ping . But I am not able to get the desired output from the restconf service using the URL http://localhost:8181/restconf/operations/ping:send-echo from POSTMAN. I am sending a JSON along with the POST request as following: { "input" : { "destination" : "10.200.8.50" } }

Can anybody tell me where I might be going wrong?

Sorry for my halfazard explanation of my problem. Please ask me if any other explanation of my steps that you might need to figure out my problem.

Hi Subhash, I am getting this error. { "errors": { "error": [ { "error-type": "rpc", "error-tag": "operation-not-supported", "error-message": "No implementation for this operation is available." } ] } }

The error message you are receiving indicates that the rpc definition of your ping module ( https://github.com/dl9pf/odl-ping/blob/master/model-ping/src/main/yang/ping.yang#L8 ) isn't loaded into karaf. This can be caused by multiple things:

  • Is your feature installed ?
  • Can you see any errors in log:display ?

Cheers

Hi !

The repo you're referencing is a development sample and might not work. I'll look into it for helium and post and update here.
