difference between osgi command and karaf

Hi, Dear all:
  When i start odl, i find it can use the to start osgi command, and it also works well to start the karaf file. What's the difference?

OGSI is the old version of OpenDaylight, used in Hydrogen, it loaded every single module (like openflow plugin, GUI, controller, etc..). In karaf, used for Helium, you can load just the modules you need.

I think the best is to use Karaf, the OGSI version isn't maintained (at least for the features I was looking for, like OF13)

So, you mean the OSGI will not maintain in the furture ? The opensource will move to use karaf ? Do you know to add the flow to karaf GUI ? I mean using the web UI like OGSI on the controller branch. Thanks
