I am following this tutorial: https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Getting_started

I am trying to use the following code in opendaylight using karaf

ovs-vsctl set-manager tcp:192.168.120.1:6640

But the command window says Command not found: ovs-vsctl

I have installed all the necessary libraries and the local host server (http://localhost:8181/dlux/index.html) is running fine. But somehow odl can't find ovs.

Can anyone tell me what's the error and it's solution? I am running win 8. Thank you

This is OVS command, you need to install openvswitch. Right before the command in that wiki it mentions that this needs to be run on each of the vSwitch hosts.

Can you please refer me to a good tutorial on vSwitches or guide me a little? If I am not wrong you are telling to make a switch on Mininet and then run this command?

This blog has some good links to get you started and next steps: `http://assafmuller.com/2013/10/13/open-vswitch-basics/` Follow the OVS basic tutorial link there and then try the advanced tutorial. mininet comes with OVS, use --switch ovsk to bring up mininet with OVS. `http://mininet.org/walkthrough/`
