If fire a POST or PUT request by apidoc, I'd like to direct send a netconf message to the device without getting device's configuration and compare them first.

Is there any way I could achieve this without modify the source code?

Thanks for advance.

Not possible right now (without code change). RESTCONF reads the data and checks if the data itself exists and if its parent structure exists (and creates the structure if not).

I think this should be optional or even left out in case of mounted device, since it brings unnecessary overhead in some situations. This applies only to RESTCONF, when writing to the device from code(application) either in binding independent or in binding aware format its not happening (with current master, future Lithium, code).

Maros, thank you for your reply, it is helpful. Now I have modified the code to do some test and another question if it is possible to display the mounted device's yang in YangUI? I could see device's restconf api which is generated by device's yang files by ODL at apidoc page, but not at the YangUI page.
