Hi, I have obtained the source code of controller project using the followings command:

git clone -b stable/helium https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/p/controller.git

In the controller\opendaylight\distribution folder, there are the base and karaf version as below:

~\controller\opendaylight\distribution>ls -l

  • opendaylight // base version => it runs correctly! [osgi prompt]
  • opendaylight-karaf // karaf version => after building, I started but no prompt!(no karaf prompt)
  • opendaylight-karaf-empty // what is this folder?
  • opendaylight-karaf-resources // what is the folder?
  • p2site
  • sanitytest**

To start the karaf based opendaylight, after building, I started karaf.bat in the "opendaylight-karaf/bin" (after Firewall Off). but No response(No karaf prompt) in the console as below:

~distribution.opendaylight-karaf-1.4.5-SNAPSHOT\bin>karaf.bat

In case using run.bat in the "distribution\opendaylight\bin", it run correctly ( osgi> .....) If I try to use the karaf based opendaylight, which folder should I use in the distribution folder? Could you check my task?

check logs( for any errors in "data" folder ) , check internet connectivity ( for first time karaf run ), sometimes karaf takes time to up for first time.

thanks faizan! I success using the distribution.opendaylight-karaf-1.4.5-SNAPSHOT.tar.gz file, I guess that there is some error in the distribution.opendaylight-karaf-1.4.5-SNAPSHOT.zip file.
