Helium SR2 Multiple BGP sessions

asked 2015-02-08 12:11:45 -0700

anonymous user

Has anyone got it working to have multiple BGP sessions with single controller? when i add the second peer config to 41-bgp-example.xml, it only makes session to the second in list. I have two names for each peer example-bgp-peer and example-bgp-peer1. Not sure if i need to make any other changes to make it work. Ideas?

You cannot make multiple BGP sessions with the same host, so the <host> tag needs to have different IP address in each peer.</host>

It has two different IPs in the <host> part. Below is the config: <module> <type xmlns:prefix="urn:opendaylight:params:xml:ns:yang:controller:bgp:rib:impl">prefix:bgp-peer</type> <name>example-bgp-peer</name> <host></host> <holdtimer>180</holdtimer> <rib> <type xmlns:prefix="urn:opendaylight:params:xml:ns:yang:controller:bgp:rib:cfg">prefix:rib</type> <name>example-bgp-rib</name> </rib> <module> <type xmlns:prefix="urn:opendaylight:params:xml:ns:yang:controller:bgp:rib:impl">prefix:bgp-peer</type> <name>example-bgp-peer1</name> <host></host> <holdtimer>180</holdtimer> <rib> <type xmlns:prefix="urn:opendaylight:params:xml:ns:yang:controller:bgp:rib:cfg">prefix:rib</type> <name>example-bgp-rib</name> </rib>
