ODL Jump start

Hi,

i am newbie to ODL and i have following questions.

1-which CentOS and ubuntu image ( e.g Centos-6.5 ) is good for ODL-Helium ?

2-What package i should have on Centos to run ODl-Helium ?

3-What package i should have on Ubuntu to run ODl-Helium ?

Both Centos and Ubuntu should be good.

OpenDaylight, by design, has very few dependencies and supports anything that can run Java. ODL should work on any OS that supports OpenJDK 1.7. That brings us to questions 2 and 3: the only required package is Java, ideally OpenJDK 1.7.
