I am running the pre-built binary from distribution-karaf-0.2.0-Helium. I installed the l2-switch feature over it and apis work fine. The current l2 version is

l2switch-0.1.0-Helium | mvn:org.opendaylight.l2switch/features-l2switch/0.1.0-Helium/xml/features

To add my own modules to l2, I downloaded the ODL code from master and it builds jars with 0.2.0-snapshot. I have added my module and have compiled my module and updated the feature in the features.xml of l2-switch. The compilation went through fine. I want to replace the existing l2switch from karaf and replace it with my local version of l2 switch.

Being completely new to Java and maven, I am not sure how to call the repo-add so as the add the path of a local features.xml.

To summarize , I want to run my local l2 switch replacing the existing one in karaf pre build binary.

Is this possible or do I have to change the version number of my module to match the version of l2 switch in karaf ie : l2switch-0.1.0-Helium ?

Thanks, Srijit

I have downloaded the release version of Helium. The jar files were then copied to system/org/opendaylight/<module> folder and manually updated the features xml in karaf binary. Its working now
