DLUX Add Flow

I'm new to SDN and currently i am experimenting with the Helium SR1 version of Opendaylight Controller. I use:

  • A virtual machine Ubuntu Server 14.04 64bit with Mininet 2.1 (provided by )
  • A virtual machine Ubuntu Server 14.04.1 64 bit for the Opendaylight Controller (set up by me, i unziped the karaf distribution).

I can successfully create topologies on mininet VM as well as run the karaf distribution on opendaylight vm and log in to DLUX. The features which i installed are:

  • odl-l2switch-switch-ui (tried odl-l2switch-all too)
  • odl-nsf-all
  • odl-adsal-compatibility
  • odl-restconf
  • odl-openflowplugin-flow-services-ui (tried -all too)

All i want to do is to add some pretty basic flows from dlux but in the "Flows" menu i cannot select any node (The node list is empty) although my topology is shown in the "Topology" menu. "Connection Manager" shows my switches too.

I have seen a lot of videos and tutorials for this purpose but all of them are not for the Helium version (I can tell this because the web interface is different and no features were needed to be installed).

Could anyone give me a clue of what am i doing wrong? Am i missing something?

I'm new to OpenDaylight too. I installed odl-nsf-all as you did. Yeah i see these binding logs too. I think they come up after odl-nsf-all is installed.

This issue is something that I have experienced also and I would really like an explanation. My only difference is that I am working in CentOS 6.6.

Hello kyriakosmp, I have the exact same setup that you have. I am trying to add flows too. I think the Karaf distribution command line maybe worth a try. I see commands like addflow there. Have you been able to do something yet? Please let me know.

You're not doing anything wrong -- something's broken. This question has been asked in a half dozen different ways across the Q&A. The few answers that are posted don't fix this problem. There is nothing I can find in the Wiki that helps. Seems not too much focus on DLUX yet.
