Is there advantage in integrated OpenDaylight and OpenStack?

In those days, I was considering about some advantages for integrated ODL and OpenStack.

  • OpenStack will replace from Neutron to ODL about core network component
  • ODL lead NFV and some network services
  • The abstraction was a splendid thought
  • ODL has a several advanced network functions like as VTN

However, Neutron is still alive, moreover it takes on vigor.
So I'm confusing whether I should take the ML2 ODL if want to build private IaaS.
Or can I use all ODL projects under integrated OpenStack via VTN or OVSDB?

Does everybody think this?

Hi

In ODL we can create vtn networks and apply path policies to make the packets traverse in the shortest path. Also we can use flowconditions and redirect the packets using flowfilters. This would not be possible with the Openstack. PFB the wiki links for the patch policy and flowfilter configurations:
