Is there anyone who knows hot to fix or avoid about the following error message.

Cannot complete the request. Generating details. ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=10053 Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. at org.eclipse.oomph.util.OomphPlugin.coreException(OomphPlugin.java:280) at org.eclipse.oomph.p2.internal.core.ProfileTransactionImpl.resolve(ProfileTransactionImpl.java:426) at org.eclipse.oomph.p2.internal.core.ProfileTransactionImpl.commit(ProfileTransactionImpl.java:338) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.p2.impl.P2TaskImpl.perform(P2TaskImpl.java:720) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.internal.core.SetupTaskPerformer.doPerformNeededSetupTasks(SetupTaskPerformer.java:3021) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.internal.core.SetupTaskPerformer.performNeededSetupTasks(SetupTaskPerformer.java:2949) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.internal.core.SetupTaskPerformer.performTriggeredSetupTasks(SetupTaskPerformer.java:2930) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.internal.core.SetupTaskPerformer.perform(SetupTaskPerformer.java:2861) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.ui.wizards.ProgressPage$9.run(ProgressPage.java:555) at org.eclipse.oomph.setup.ui.wizards.ProgressPage$11$1.run(ProgressPage.java:681) at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:55) ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 Software being installed: artificialroot 1.0.0.v1465816211695 ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 Missing requirement: artificialroot 1.0.0.v1465816211695 requires 'net.sf.eclipsecs.feature.group 0.0.0' but it could not be found

I remove whole path or files that might created in previous setup state. I always perform the following command before I install.

rm -R -f ~/Downloads/eclipse-installer/ rm -R -f ~/.git/hook rm -R -f ~/.p2/ rm -R -f ~/.eclipse rm -R -f ~/.git rm -R -f ~/workspace rm -R -f ~/.m2/

Thanks in advance.

Hello, sorry for having missed this earlier (in June) - FYI as noted on https://github.com/vorburger/opendayl... , for support with the Eclipse set up, it's best to post to the general OpenDaylight development list ( dev@lists.opendaylight.org ) with email subject topic prefix "[eclipse]".

FYI: The problem shown above is "just" due to a temporary connection issue with a 3rd party Eclipse Plugin (p2) repository (e.g. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pmd/f... ). Normally these go away if you retry, as explained in point #4 on the FAQ on https://github.com/vorburger/opendayl... .

If such connection problems to 3rd party Eclipse Plugin (p2) repository persist, over days, then the most likely problem is that your corporate network firewall blocks access to (some) such sites from the Eclipse installer.
