hi,

i have create a custom topology in mininet and have install opendaylight.

on my opendaylight, i have install ' old-dlux-all ' and ' odl-netconf '.

i have just started learning netconf and i only able to "get node info" and "add flow" from opendaylight(postman)

i have look through some xml structure example online for meter but i am still unable to add meter to flow.

i am able to add meter to opendaylight but can't add meter to flow. I have use 'GET' function to check is the meter in opendaylight.

Meter(xml structure)

<meter xmlns="urn:opendaylight:flow:inventory">
<meter-id>5</meter-id>
<meter-band-headers>
    <meter-band-header>
        <band-id>0</band-id>
        <band-burst-size>0</band-burst-size>
        <band-rate>5000</band-rate>
        <drop-burst-size>0</drop-burst-size>
        <drop-rate>5000</drop-rate>
        <meter-band-types>
            <flags>ofpmbt-drop</flags>
        </meter-band-types>
    </meter-band-header>
</meter-band-headers>
<meter-name>mymeter</meter-name>
<container-name>mymeter</container-name>
<flags>meter-kbps</flags>

</meter>

Parameter i put to insert meter to flow

     <instruction>
     <order>0</order>
        <meter>
            <meter-id>5</meter-id>
        </meter>
    </instruction>

my question is

1) How do i add meter to flow?

many thanks in advance. :)

If you are using mininet, you have to use OpenFlow plugin to add flows/groups/meters.

Just install the feature: odl-openflowplugin-flow-services-ui and follow instructions in <noformat>https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylightOpenFlowPlugin:User_Guide</noformat> to push your meter.
