Git commit fail - not Signed-off-by author/committer/uploader in commit message footer

The following error occurred when submitting a patch to the dratfs repo of stable/beryllium

The command i used to push the code to drafts repo is git push ssh://<user-id>@git.opendaylight.org:29418/openflowplugin.git HEAD:refs/drafts/stable/beryllium

Writing objects: 100% (31/31), 4.53 KiB | 0 bytes/s, done.

Total 31 (delta 11), reused 1 (delta 0) remote: Resolving deltas: 100% (11/11) remote: Processing changes: refs: 1, done

To ssh://saisujithreddy@git.opendaylight.org:29418/openflowplugin.git

! [remote rejected] HEAD -> refs/drafts/stable/beryllium (not Signed-off-by author/committer/uploader in commit message footer)

error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh://<user-id>@git.opendaylight.org:29418/openflowplugin.git'

Please let me know if you have faced/solved the issue.

This is telling you that you need to have a Signed-off-by line in your commit message footer.

The easy way to fix this is the following:

git commit -s --amend

edit flag offensive delete publish link more
