I am a beginner in ODL and I'm trying to learn it. I'm able to set up a topology in mininet and view it in my controller. I want to learn what more I can do in the topology like adding flows, modifying the flow tables checking queue status in the switch etc. I'm using lithium. But I couldn't find any proper guide or tutorial of how to use ODL. Any help would be really appreciated

Read my blog post here. All you need is to sign up and you will get a free end-to-end test bed online. Plus, I go through all the necessary steps and details and include the code. I make it as easy as humanly possible to:

  • Deploy a virtual test environment in the cloud
  • Deploy and configure OpenDaylight
  • Use a REST API to configure your network switch
  • Easily steer flows through your network using OpenDaylight

I registered on the blog in the morning. I've registered using my private email address as I am a student. I replied to the query for full name, company as student and use case as learning. It has been more than 12 hours now, still dint get back the reply. Is this normal?

Vinayaktj... If you email then they will get you set up right away! They put a manual check in place for account requests that come from a non-corporate email :-)
