Revision history [back]

Brady Allen Johnson, the project lead at Ericsson for SFC replied to me via email:

...try downloading the latest stable ODL Lithium release, which can be found here:

https://nexus.opendaylight.org/content/repositories/opendaylight.release/org/opendaylight/integration/distribution-karaf/0.3.0-Lithium/distribution-karaf-0.3.0-Lithium.tar.gz

Once you download this Lithium karaf distribution and open it (tar xvzf distribution-karaf-0.3.0-Lithium.tar.gz) you can start it as follows:

$ bin/karaf

Then, once you get the karaf prompt (opendaylight-user@root>) you'll need to start the SFC features you're interested in using, as follows:

opendaylight-user@root>feature:install odl-sfc-core
opendaylight-user@root>feature:install odl-sfcofl2
opendaylight-user@root>feature:install odl-sfc-ui
opendaylight-user@root>feature:install odl-sfc-sb-rest

You can see the SFC features with the following command: opendaylight-user@root>feature:list | grep sfc The third column will have an "x" if the feature has been installed.

Notice, you only need to install the features once. So if you stop karaf, and start it again, these features will already be installed.

I hope this works better for you, if not let me know and we'll help you out.

Once I followed this approach, the sfc login page prompted me for a password and everything worked.
